I’m Rachel. I am a college student studying Journalism at the University at Albany (SUNY). I specifically want to get into sport journalism and was tasked for one of my classes to start a blog for a genre or beat I want to cover. And I thought, there’s nothing I would love to cover more than my favorite football team the Greenbay Packers.

I grew up with football. It was basically the only sport my parents would have on. Being from New Jersey my family is a Giants house hold. Now, you might be asking, why am I a Packers fan? Well, its kinda funny.

There was this festival and there was a stand every year that sold pillows with football teams logos on it. Me not knowing football I choose one that I thought was cool. And I choose the one with the big “G” across it. My excuse to my dad when I showed him all proud was “for our last name.” He wasn’t the happiest but he told me it was a football team and I loved them ever since. And I would say its been about 10 years of me being a die hard fan.
