EX PACKERS DOESN’T LOOK SO HOT AFTER FIRST GAME
It was hard watching the nail-biting Patriots vs Seahawks games as a Packers fan. After being traded to the Patriots, ex Packer, Romeo Doubs, had a tough first game. Going into the game Doubs was considered the Patriots number 2 receiver only behind the veteran receiver A.J. Brown. For Packers fans, it did hurt to see him go but they were excited for his future with the Patriots and star quarterback Drake Maye. During the game Doubs didn’t see a single target until the fourth quarter, but with the injury of A.J. Brown, Doubs should have been the number 1 target. His first target was a deep ball thrown by Maye that was tipped and intercepted by Nehemiah Pritchett at the 3 yard line and returned to the 33 yard line. This led to the Seahawks tying the game at 10 a piece. On the next drive for the Patriots, Doubs dropped a wide open pass on 2nd and 14 that would have gotten them the first down. The very next play Drake Maye throws another interception that leads to a Seahawks field goal that wouldn’t have happened if Doubs had caught the ball. Doubs missed one more ball that was out of his reach in the final 4 minutes. “I’ll be better,” said Doubs after the game. “I just wasn’t locked in. That’s all.”
