RESULTS OF THE JACOBS CASE
Josh Jacobs took court today at Brown County Courthouse in a grey suit and pants with a light blue shirt and tie. Jacobs pleaded “no contest” to the misdemeanor battery and the criminal damage to property charges. The judge ordered Jacobs to pay a $1,000 fine for the charges. “I fully understand the seriousness of the situation,” Jacobs said. “I take full responsibility.” After being put on the commissioners exempt list Josh Jacobs was able to get his court date moved up from November 17th to September 10th right before the first game for the Packers. It is unknown who was the main push for the court date being moved up, but it stirred questions. Did Jacob’s legal team push it up because they thought there's a chance of him being innocent and playing the first week? Or a better chance of him playing at all this season? Did the NFL want it pushed up to have everything settled quicker? While all those questions still stand it looks like Jacobs will play this season just not for a few weeks with a probable suspension.
