JUSTIN JEFFERSON PROBLEM SOLVED?
It’s no secret that the Packers main problem in this upcoming week 1 game is the monster that is Justin Jefferson. Jefferson was ranked 19 in the NFL Top 100 Players of 2026 and is ranked number 2 in ESPN’s NFL Receiver Rankings. This becomes a bad match up against the Packers cornerback room that seems like they’ll have rookie Brandon Cisse starting along with Keisean Nixon who the fans have been expecting more from but have not seen that production out of him. This leaves the question of who's going to guard Jefferson? Fans are thinking that the answer might be in the rookie Cisse. Jourdan Rodrigue from The Athletic saw a lot of potential in Cisse. Rodrigue spoke to scouts from the AFC and NFC about this young rookie cornerback. “Sticky man cornerback and exactly what their secondary needed,” said the AFC scout about Cisse. The NFC scout added, “LEGIT movement for a near-6-foot corner, even in a few preseason reps. Seems like he shored up a corner spot for them.” Even though Cisse came in fighting for the second spot he might have just landed himself the first. We’ll see what the Packers defense looks like this upcoming Sunday and if they put Cisse on Jefferson.
